Every student in Saline deserves a chance to grow, no matter where they start. That means real support for students who are struggling: closing gaps early and honestly measuring whether what we’re doing is working, while also challenging and inspiring every student to reach further on their own.

Saline is financially strong today, and staying that way takes planning, not luck. I’ll push for honest, multi-year budgeting so the district can weather enrollment and funding changes without cutting the things students count on.

Strategic stewardship starts with the people who do the work: I will push for continued recruitment, support, and retention of excellent teachers and staff. Doing so is one of the smartest long-term investments a district can make.

Good decisions start with clear principles and honest listening—to families, teachers, students, and the wider community—and then the discipline to ask hard questions before acting. I’ll hold to the same standard whether a room agrees with me or not: transparency about how a choice was made, respect for the people on the other side of it, and a board culture answerable to one thing—what’s right for Saline’s students.

Being principled isn’t about avoiding tough calls; it’s about making them the same way every time — in the open, with students as the standard.
